Sustainability Agency and Climate Change certification

We are proud to announce that Magotteaux Andino S.A. in Chile received a certification from the Sustentability Agency and Climate Change, an entity under the Ministry of Health, Environment and Energy, which certifies that our plant has complied with the goals and actions established in the Third Clean Production Agreement of the Foundries Sector (APL) in conformity with the standard  NCh2796.Of2009,  NCh2797.Of2009, NCh2807.Of2009, NCh2825.Of2009.

The specific objectives of this certification are:

• Raise basic information regarding the productive and environmental reality of companies
• Establish and implement sustainability indicators
• Build skills in workers, in relation to matters of clean production and sustainability
• Improve the energy performance indicator of the sector by 5%
• Reduce by 2% the emissions of particulate matter and volatile organic compounds
• Increase the recovery of liquid waste from the process by 2%
• Reduce water consumption by 5%
• Quantify carbon footprint
• Incorporation of safe work practices
• Promotion of social responsibility actions
