The show attracts approximately 41 000 visitors from all over the world, which was the biggest show yet. Visitors include major decision makers from the Mining, Process Engineering, Power Generation, Civil Engineers and General industry in Southern Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and foreign countries. The exhibitors are International and local suppliers of equipment and services to the mining, power generation, mineral process, materials handling, manufacturing, safety, health & environmental, civil engineering & earthmoving sector.

The mining industry continues to experience major growth with new ventures, expansions and upgrades, and with South Africa hosting the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the country has embarked on major infrastructure projects that demand a massive input of supplies and machinery.
