Name :
Rollers / Tyres
Industry :
Cement / Power Stations
Equipment :
VRM : Vertical Roller Mills
Tech Specs :
* Rollers can either be segmented or non segmented
* If segmented : main alloys are : Monometal (Low Chrome, Nihard, or High Chrome) OR Ceramic embedded alloy, Xwin® (2 layers = High Chrome + ceramic particles placed directly underneath the tyre wear surface. Its width covers the tyre area where maximum wear is expected. Its thickness is calculated to reach maximum lifetime).
* If non segmented : main alloys are : Monometal (Low Chrome, Nihard, or High Chrome) OR Bimetallic (Duocast® :Bimetallic grade constituted of High Chrome inserts placed on roller outer diameter and embedded into a ductile iron supporting base) OR Matrix complex (Duocast®Xwin® (3 layers = High Chrome + Ceramic + ductile iron. Ceramic is placed into High Chrome wear resistant inserts (Xwin® inserts) that are distributed on the roller outer diameter (wear surface). Those Xwin® inserts are themselves embedded into a ductile iron supporting base).
Key Benefits :
* Increased lifetime (Low Chrome < Nihard < High Chrome < Xwin®). Xwin® is 5 to 6 times better than Low Chrome, depending on the application.
* Reduced mill downtime with High Chrome and Xwin® as compared to Low Chrome alloys.
* Safety against breakage when using Duocast® and Duocast®Xwin®.

Rollers / Tyres are available up to a unit weight of approximately 25 metric tons (Duocast® versions)
